Choose the source equation category, enter height, and select a frame adjustment. The four equations use height above 60 inches. This implementation uses the rounded kilogram coefficients commonly published with these equations. The displayed average summarizes the four arithmetic results; it is not a personal target.
What the result can tell you
These historical equations do not identify a weight that is ideal for an individual. Their origins, samples, and purposes differ. This comparison is for adults at least 152.4 cm tall and does not calculate a medication dose. BMI reference weights are screening context and do not account for muscle, pregnancy, or individual medical conditions.
Common questions
Why do the four historical equations give different values?
They use different published equations and origins. The calculator applies the selected frame adjustment to each equation and shows the four results separately.
Is the average a target weight or a medication dose?
No. The average is a comparison summary, not an individual ideal weight. This calculator does not calculate a medication dose.
